What’s the rule about playing chicken again? The one to flinch loses, right?

What does that make Trump now?

I’ve been getting domestic quotes on my China parts and the tarriff needs to be 300% for it to start to break even.

He doesn’t see it as flinching, he sees it as taking a big swing at China. It’s like when you’ve got all your marks lined up against the wall you’re shouting at all of them to give you their wallets, then one of them talks back. When you pistolwhip that guy, you can give him all your attention cause all the others are just going to watch. All Trump really knows is the art of the stick-up. I don’t see this playing out the way he thinks it will, though.

Who’s going to build these factories in the US when the tariffs are on-again off-again like a sitcom couple?

We’ve had about 9 different tariff regimes (all responding to the same “emergency”) in a little over two months. Trump thought he could ride into Tokyo on Godzilla’s shoulders only to raise a white flag out the bottom of a footprint moments later.
