Going to brag a little bit. I’ve been very suspicious of tech and the US stock market for a long time. When I finally got the job I have now and got to choose 401k contributions I went heavy with international stocks and specifically avoided anything involved in too much tech. My 401k has gone down in the last week but we’re talking barely 3%. The paranoia sometimes works in my favor
This is an oversimplification of the situation. The US built everything so degrees are practically mandatory then makes the poors choose between life crushing debt or getting an education through the military. They prey on children of poor families. Obviously ‘not all marines’ and whatnot but come on a lot of times it isn’t actually a comparable choice and even when it is they’re still kids who often don’t know better
Drinking yourself home sounds more wild than the party itself, never know what you might get into
I’m so glad it went well! I was getting worried for you there x.x
Either that or an incredible troll post. This is the last comment the account has made x.x
One of the places I grew up people would do this with their tiny dogs. Every family had a story of the time a hawk/eagle would make off with one of their tiny dogs. Still didn’t use leashes or watch their dogs tho 🤷♀️
Edit: just remembered we lived near a canyon too with a trail along the top edge. People’s unleashed dogs would chase after something and go flying off the cliff. Rescue helicopters would train for people by rescuing (or usually just retrieving the body of) all the dogs
Everything to do with finding housing has so far been the most difficult to figure out for me x.x Part of it I don’t know where I would be moving to yet, it’ll all depend where I may be accepted to which I should know within a couple weeks
I’m hoping relations can cling on long enough for me to get to Sweden to study! If all goes well I’ll never have to come back to the US
What model is this?
Looks like: https://www.saatchiart.com/steicha
Edit, wait probably this one actually: https://artondemand.famsf.org/detail/491111/hardy-surf-or-die-2004
I have questions about the physical construction of this saw
“We’re the police. Relax,” one of the men says
Fam I’d rather be kidnapped by a rando than the police. Relaxing is the last thing I would be doing while getting swarmed by pigs
I’m wondering if these comments are starting to hurt at this point. Yeah I’m pissed at non voters too, in protest or otherwise. Is the continued ostracizing beneficial in any way though? Shouldn’t we be trying to talk with them on a way to move forward? If we continue to divide up the left into too many bite sized chunks we’ll never be able to properly organize at the scale needed in the US
This makes sense. But yeah semantics aside, over a third not voting is terrible regardless. When I was young I didn’t understand the people pushing to vote but now I’m older… I get it. Seeing so many people not care, or suppressed and not getting votes in, it’s disheartening to say the least. We really dropped the ball, down a hill, into a manure lagoon
In the link you sent it says 36% of eligible voters did not vote, which is not a majority. The “did not vote winning the election” is a different stat than “majority did/didn’t vote”

A majority of eligible people did vote, unless I’m reading things wrong. Don’t get me wrong turnout did suck and it’s a disgrace imo but a slim majority is still a majority
I’m getting worried about them x.x
