My son (4yo) went ice fishing with his kindergarten group. Nobody didn’t catch anything but I was told everyone had fun. I feel like s*it because I can’t do these things with him. But when he’s happy so am I

Nobody didn’t catch anything… so they all caught something? /s
Fun activity for a kindergarten! I love to see these types of things for kindergarten/early elementary school level, something beyond what you can do on premises. I have my earliest excursion memories from kindergarten, walking in the forest Identifying plants. Fun way to learn.
Edit: btw, my dad didn’t know how to fish either, but he taught oh so many other things, more valuable things in my opinion. Don’t feel bad for not knowing how to. Teach him what you know, the rest he’ll pick up from friends and whatnot.
I do know how to, but my health is so bad I can’t do these type of activities with him. That is what makes me sad
Don’t waste time to be sad about things you can’t change anymore. Use the time to think about things you can still do with him.
I will try
Ah, I understand… Yes, I can only imagine how that feels.
