I just had a talk with my wife about this as well. Do we pull it, knowing that it’ll get hit with the 10% fee. But then put it back in after the market is absolutely crash? Like…I’m assuming it’s going to get a lot worse …

It’s cosmetic damage only. Car still works. Tesla owners are, right now, driving around a symbol of modern day fascism. People warned them about it for months that this is happening.

Does it suck for the people who own one and have no other vehicle they can drive instead? Yeah. I feel bad for them. But it’s unfortunately a necessary evil…because it’s working.

It’s collapsing the Tesla stock price. Teslas are becoming difficult and expensive to insure. It’s becoming risky to even own one or drive it around. It’s making Trump and Musk extremely uncomfortable, to the point that Musk made Trump promote his company on the White House lawn. It’s been one of the best American protests that we’ve had in a long time, and it only inconveniences one group of important people - current/potential Tesla car/stock owners.

Musk, and billionaires in general, need to understand that when you try to take away the rights of Americans, we will fuck your business over. We will make sure that you can’t sell your product, and that owning your product is risky, expensive, and not worth the price.

This sounds like a junior dev thing. “Why can’t we just rebuild it from scratch?” comes from a place of complete ignorance and lack of experience.

They’re going to realize that the last 1% of work is going to take 99% of the time, and Musk (Mr. Dunning-Kruger himself) is going to quickly find himself knee deep in shit.

I guarantee that if they release it at whatever deadline they set, it’s going to be a flaming dumpster fire. MMW.

As another US citizen, fucking absolutely. I mean, fuck, we’re boycotting most larger businesses anyways and going local where possible. Cancelled Amazon, got rid of all subscription services, protesting during the weekenda and weekdays where possible…these wannabe fascist fucks have no idea the ire that American progressives and the rest of the world feel towards them. They are so holed up in their fake news space, creating fake solutions to fake problems, that they are oblivious to the growing resentment even in their own ranks.

Fucking un-empathetic people. Sure, we have problems here, and yeah, we really need to do things to make them better. But fucking destroying our government from the inside and destroying any goodwill we had with other countries…all in the name of saving a bit on taxes is…just insane. Like, I have no words for how dumb it is. It’s appalling.

From what I understand, it’s the same information that was released last time. The people on both sides that have been meticulously keeping up with this are livid that it’s literally no new information. Trump and Co even brought in influencers to hype up the release only for it to be the exact same shit that was released years ago.

Yeah. This is the dumbest thing we’ve ever done. The goodwill and passive benefits that came from this were worth 10x what we paid into it.

You mean the “rights of women”? I’m sure you’ve heard all of the arguments already, but here we go:

• 99% of pregnanies are performed before 20 weeks. Typically right around the time it’s been discovered.
• Anything beyond that is almost always due to the loss of the child or discovery of a fetal abnormality.
• Restricting abortion limits personal freedom, disproportionately affects low-income women, and can force individuals into unsafe medical situations or unwanted pregnancies that impact their lives, careers, and families.

There is no good reason to restrict abortions. The world is not a better place when unwanted children are brought into it, especially when the people that are pushing to ban it don’t want to offer any sort of governmental assistance to deal with said child. It almost feels like the intent isn’t to help the baby, that it’s more of a punishment for the woman for being “immoral”.

The reason why the “elite” want to ban it is because it easily destroys your potential to get ahead. They don’t want an educated populace, they want a multitude of dumb, cheap labor, and restricting abortion is an extremely easy way to get that. Also by getting conservatives to hyperfixate on this issue (and things like LGBTQ rights), it draws attention away from wealth inequality, labor right, and other systemic issues.
