It does have a useful definition I think in “a non-state actor using violence to serve some political goal”, as that at least lets one categorize a murderer who just hated that specific guy as having something different going on with them compared to a murderer who wants their act to shock a nation into taking some action. It’s commonly misused as “someone using violence that we don’t like”, but there is still some utility in understanding a person’s motive for doing something.
To be fair, Hong Kong wasn’t really large numbers for the government that would actually have had to have been affected to change the policy, that is, mainland China. Had every other Chinese city had protests similar in relative scale, things might have gone differently.
Those guys are what got me to finally start using adblocker, when they were running their videos as every other youtube ad (unless they still do that)
IIRC the space force basically just is taking what was air force space command and spinning it off into its own branch. So they’d not be doing much that wasn’t being done before so much as making that operation independent of the air force, same as how the air force used to be part of the army.
Whatever his charisma might be, if he runs in 2028, that’s good at least in that it would require his father not have managed to remove elections and term limits by then for it to occur
Every so often that kind of thing goes badly for them. Just ask the French

Colonists aren’t really immigrants though, their intentions aren’t to join an existing, foreign society but to create a new one or extend their existing one into another area (and in cases like the Americas, also act as an invasion force of sorts to push out existing people).
You know things are bad when your policies are too cruel for even the cops to go along with.
The internet has taught me that there is no such thing as sarcasm that everyone can detect.
The dems have no coherent message and strategy because they are an attempt to unify basically everything that isn’t the far right under one banner. That means that different politicians under it, and different voters that vote for them, want fundamentally different things. Taking a firm, party-wide stance that satisfies the left wing of the party would risk driving off the segment that is just “conservatives that dont feel comfortable with how openly bigoted the republicans are”, and vice versa. But trying to please everyone by committing to nothing and running on good vibes eventually results in people getting frustrated with voting for a party that doesn’t advance what they want.
the sprouts are a similar size and shape to those chocolates, and theyre hidden under the gold wrappers, meaning the actual chocolate isnt visible from the outside. So, they can remove the chocolate, wrap the wrappers back over the sprouts, and put those back in the package so as to make whoever it is given to think theyre getting chocolate, until they unwrap one.
I mean, the current borders of the US do include some former foreign states and land previously owned by others, that were taken over in the past, Hawaii for example. Does that not make it an empire, or does that stop counting after a century or so?
