On windows 11: Teams does not take over my audio in a call, taskbar button works fine. And say what you will about status messages but I’d rather they be overly annoying than ignored completely. Also way better than auto-reply emails.

It’s not perfect but I’ve worked on teams with it and without it and so far I’ve preferred having it.

I think because the intention is to hurt the animal by definition and produces no useful biproduct. But that’s my guess.

Benefit of the doubt would be to say it absolutely didn’t happen since proof doesn’t exist now. I didn’t say that.

Of all the news agencies I looked into that tried to verify this story, they all came up empty handed. Even snipes did a dive in on it and found nothing

So yeah look at all the comments posted here jumping to conclusions.

The CHIPS act passed in the US does help with this. Instead of reinventing the wheel, we’re trying to move some of their manufacturing over here. Which is desirable anyways because it puts them beyond Chinas reach.

Still that process will take a decade so no luck anytime soon
