I don’t mean it as a gotcha. Clearly too many people don’t care about the rights and dignity of other people unless it affects them. I wish they did, but the current political climate makes it clear that they don’t.

So I think this is worth bringing up to people about any social justice issue. Racism and nativism are used to control white workers. Patriarchy hurts men. Transphobia hurts cisgender people.

However, it is crucial to communicate to people that these ideologies are fundamentally bad and need to be abolished or else people can walk away thinking “We need to implement transphobia the ‘right’ way so it stops hurting cis people.”

It bares repeating, transphobia hurts cisgender people and transgender people.

I don’t say anything on reddit.

I hope the republicans have better aim this time.

Finally, this is what is keeping Texas in the bottom half of educational rankings, the kids meowing. Just take care of that and things will turn right around.

I’d be an obvious act of war. Republicans and most average Americans would feel justified in joining with Russia to rip Ukraine in half in retaliation. Even Europe would be hesitant to defend Ukraine because we had all just seen the Ukrainian president (fatally?) assault the king of america on live television.

However, within the country I think if any national level democratic politician was serious about the threat posed by trump they should use their political position to get access to him and then tackle him and start punching. Obviously they’d go jail. Obviously there’d be a national scandal. But the dude is old a hard fall would kill him. In the long run, it’d do way more good than holding up a “this isn’t normal” index card.

They make profit off of being a useless barrier that prevents customers from accessing money they’ve contributed to use towards their own healthcare. They do nothing of any real value. Their constant profit seeking kills people. Every single administrator in their company is killing people.

Luckily, they won’t come after me because everything I said was true.

It really pisses me off when the cars are backed up but the person in the drive through still has to spend time doing land acknowledgements for each customer and asking them their preferred pronouns. /s

This is good to hear but we need to do everything we can to make each attempted deportation difficult. It’s a shame that I don’t know any undocumented immigrants to protect, and neither do you.

This is more evidence for what I call “the meta conspiracy.” I think conspiracy thinking has been actively promoted by the media and government in order to distract from actual government conspiracies. It both keeps people distracted with “UAPs” and “Adrenochrome” while also making any serious discussion of oligarchy, censorship, and oppression look ridiculous by association with crackpots.

That is unfair to claim they don’t give a shit about genocide. Most of our representatives care deeply and are doing everything within the powers of the legislative branch…
