This is why Trump wants Greenland, to balance off the loss of oil and other reserves when Putin claims Alaska again, like he said he will.
This is why Trump wants Greenland, to balance off the loss of oil and other reserves when Putin claims Alaska again, like he said he will.
Yup, it all fits the bill.
They’re so different that if he tries he will be shot, either through official order or some frothing at the mouth maniac.
Frankly, I don’t think infighting is enough … a huge riot is required, doesn’t matter which side or in what form but it has to be an enormous thing that makes it permanently prohibitive to continue on the current path. If it is not then they just replace one unwanted idiot with the next in line…
“But he promised (lied again) about not knowing a thing about it!”
He’ll start a war, internally or externally and use that as an excuse to block elections. Probably takes Zelenski as an example, no elections during wartime…
Or he’ll do a Putin, all election preparations go into a blender, real opponents are disqualified for arbitrary reasons, force his own name on the ballot then declare himself a winner.
Or… as he keeps throwing around, make sure there is voter fraud, hide it 'till it leaks then just proclaim the win/fraudulent elections and stay in power.
The constitution declared him ineligible to hold the position because he is a proven insurrectionist … But here we are… the courts declared the constitution wrong and he was to be put on the ballot.
Trump should have been behind bars but the judiciary branch did not want to make haste nor prosecute an up and coming president … so here we are…
He put unelected people in places that they have absolutely no knowledge of, nor had they any security clearance, but no one dares to challenge them or Trump about it.
He’s stealing public funds here and there, under the guise of “savings from fraud” but no one knows where the money will be siphoned off to… and no one dares try to stop it.
He is disappearing people for no reasons other than not liking someone’s opinion, and denies them any form of legal recourse. They just dissappear.
He’s installed unmonitored internet in the White House through Starlink, no one tries to stop it or enquire what the need for that is.
He is trying to start wars over territory that is not his, think about that, a US-president personally being a warmonger, for no reasons other than his own.
He unabashedly promised no more need to vote after he was elected, already has multiple people promoting a 3rd term. And we’re now supposed to think this will be the reason someone will rise up to stop him? Or a senator here and there will dare to claim power from under him just because Trump’s term ended?
I’m waiting for the moment Trump actually shoots someone, in the white house or his palace in Florida, and it’s all laughed off with some lame reason.
He was in the elections as a presidential candidate, but everyone knew he’d be elected as a dictator, and as such he nor his cronies will not simply go away at the end of his term.
He can’t even just go away, he’d have various lawsuits hanging above his head, so he’ll keep his power for as long as he can.
He’ll just start claiming “We helped those people, send them the best help and goods they need”.
And that’s it, in his mind the aid somehow has materialized and he can go back to his golf course again.
Putin considers Alaska to still be Russian territory and wants it back, so he made the Greenland suggestion to agent Krasnov…
But Trump does realize he needs Canada to complete his set of Northern America cards …
The lawbook is the same, as is any judge’s role to oversee/uphold such law… But that’s inconvenient information.
So, as usual they use nice and plausible sounding words, but the end of the matter is that someone needs his decrees to be above (judgement against) the law…
Slowly taking away local judges’ (and states) rights to review nationwide law and only rule on local matters while the king decides is a callback to the middle ages.
Everything is terrorism to the fearful ones at the top…
Perhaps the title needs adjustment … exchange “orders” with “asks”…
There were warnings at least a year before the election, many people laid out what is to come, it was barely taken serious, mostly ignored. And even now the media and government types are doing mostly a half assed “we’re stunned he’s doing this, but oh well, another day another decree”
It is too late, there will come an indefinite next term of Trump’s hegemony, and when he dies his son will take over as new/official king. He himself might not want to take up the title soon but when his next in line is ready it will start to be brandished about.
The writing is on the wall with how he is already tearing up any legal restrictions laid on him.
The current “proposals” for a 3rd term are only there to get people acquainted with it under the guise of “let him finish the job” but it will get hammered through, objections will not be tolerated.
So it’s a bit of a catch22 situation… Shutdown the government by blocking the new CR or have the government demolished by accepting the new CR …
But the government will get derailed regardless.
The one thing that seems to be overlooked is that the Democrats are supposed to give opposition/resistance to the Republican plans, which does mean blocking a bad new proposal …
If it were up to me I’d use whatever media I can find and prior to the vote just loudly announce being against the new regulations, so just pre-empt republican fingerpoiting and take the sting out of their shutdown accusations…
No more Champagne at $100, drink Crystal bubblies for $200 a bottle!
No more French Pinot Noir, everyone do the Zinfandel!
Or perhaps just switch to boxes of USA wine only, glass bottles are too eco friendly anyway :-D
“Let them eat plastic straws!”
“Very tasty, very nutritious! High in fiber, especially the paper wrapper. It’s the best food!”
A king met with other leaders before inviting a wannabe king …
So, how many in the government are called Gaylord? Will they be detained and forced to give up their name? Mandatory change to Petey?
I guess there’s also a Gaylord street and monument here and there?
It’s kind of interesting because it directly echos Trump’s own thoughts. As personal or his business strategy Trump alwaslys tried to block payment after contracted work was done.
And now part of his supreme court is showing the same tendency, I suspect this will come back again and again untill more justices fall in line and the ruling for non payment of delivered work sticks.
Perhaps at some point Trump or the supreme court declares:
“Doing work for/in name of King Trump is it’s own reward, outstanding bills are null and void”.
It’s because he is not a businessman, he is a scammer and grifter.
The concept of a good deal where both parties leave the table satisfied is strange to him, he needs to have “the win” over the other side.
If he does not get “the win” he considers it a bad deal where he got ripped off, this is what he projects on the USA.
He will not consider WHY foreign trading partners do not want his inferior products. He is selling them and they must buy, and if they do not buy it is “how they rip off america”.
This is the core of his thinking to strike back with his tariffs, he directly equates the unbalanced import/export lists as enemy tariffs on his goods.
Look at the list he showed, he gives Vietnam 54% tariffs “because they do it” … but actually it’s the 54% of import/export that is traded…
His whole reasoning makes no sense, it only does if you realize he has no knowledge of the workings of imports and exports and he plainly is not educated as a businessman at all.
