For me?
- Remote Play (I’ve never been able to get it to consistently work on every device with Jellyfin)
- PlexAmp is awesome
- LiveTV
- IPTV
- Way better clients
- Numerous small little issues.
For me?
Was a little worried from the headline that it was being moved to another subscription tier.
I’ve owned a Plex Pass Lifetime subscription since it’s basically been available. I’ve honestly forgotten Remote Streaming was a free service at this point.
I mean Chromium is an open source project, developers don’t have to do whatever Google demands.
I know Brave still supports it alongside their own ad-blocker, but apparently the CEO is a dick so people don’t want to use it for that reason.
Wait, THATS the picture he chose to have put up? The one with the weird tuft of hair sticking up in the back, where he looks like he’s holding in a massive shit and has a series of tumor like lumps on his check?
I mean, fuck. If I were Elon rich I’d have Marvel’s lead makeup artist on permanent retainer.
Qobuz and 7digital have pretty good libraries and high quality downloads.
That sucks and all, but to be fair this is entirely on you. They sold you a DRM-Free file and you chose to not actually use it and to rely on their servers which you have no control over. This isn’t a “DRM Free” issue.
Personal ownership means you take personal responsibility for it.
Any real benefits of jailbreaking a Kindle? I mean I know the “You free yourself from amazon!” elevator pitch, but what exactly does that mean?
I can already upload pretty much anything I want to it with Calibre. Can I add support for other ebook formats? Cooler utilities on my Scribe? Alternative ebook stores (yes I know where I am)? A user interface that isn’t absolute garbage?
LiveTV refers to a PlutoTV like service for Plex. There are a lot of amazing channels, but the big gain for me is having broadcast news networks.
FinAmp really isnt up to PlexAmp yet. PlexAmps “guestdj” mode is really awesome and it still doesn’t have a Carplay App which kills it right there for me.
