Well think it through. Even if the world heats up by 10°C, Antarctica will still be at a livable temperature. People will eek out an existence there like living on Mars, with greenhouses and suits to go outside. It won’t last forever though. Civilization collapse within 50 years, but full extinction will take some time.

Nothing we could conceivably do could ever possibly prevent that entirely. Shit is going to get BAD no matter what we do. We are still maybe able to prevent our extinction/near-extinction in the coming centuries. But famine and disease will be rampant once again in every country. Borders will be guarded with machine guns that are used liberally in many modern western countries.
Are you aware of what everyone is doing in their garages or planning in their minds? Not everyone talks openly about very dire measures that they feel may be necessary in the future. A big part of the pepper community is to not tell people about your stash. I imagine that line of thinking extends to this as it’s basically the same mindset

The mistake still lies with the Dems (including Harris) for having prepared for seemingly nothing that is happening despite them writing out in detail what they would do. They did not prepare a good candidate, just assumed that one would appear or that Biden would run. When Biden ran, and his numbers sucked, he didn’t back out. That is all the fault of Dems.
Yes let’s play more into the rights attacks on merit and ability and instead find someone who just LOOKS presidential. Surely they will be good at the job if they are white and attractive.

That’s entirely possible. I haven’t seen any evidence that protest votes had any significant effect on the outcome. Mostly, people seem to have been less motivated in general, as well as widespread voter suppression purging voters from all states. But anyone who is screaming at protest voters for having morals that they refuse to compromise on is not only stupid, but has lost sight of what is virtuous. Empathy is a good thing, and having enough that you cannot support those who support genocide is admirable. Choosing the lesser of 2 evils is also admirable for different reasons. Society needs both. Frothing at the mouth about people not voting for a bad candidate is ridiculous.
But when the left calls the right Nazis for disappearing people off the streets for daring to speak out against them, we are called alarmist or virtue signalers or whatever the fuck. For the right, those extreme views are rapidly becoming the mainstream.
Maybe the left should follow suit. Just dive headlong into polarization.
