Putin is pulling US troops out of Europe. This will allow the US military to focus on it’s one consistent strength: making the world hate the US.

I presume it’s 4 days to live without medical intervention. The article quotes her father as commenting:

“Virginia my daughter, I love you and [am] praying for you to get the correct treatment to live a long and healthy life.”

It could definitely be true that doctors said she’s got 4 days to live … without dialysis. That could have been made clearer in the article. I suspect someone is being a little overly dramatic - to be expected of headline editors and to be forgiven of a recently car-crashed victim of sex trafficking.

It’s all powerful people. Many studies show that social power affects the brain, suppressing empathy centers.

As you get more wealth, status or fame, your brain becomes less capable of empathy and closer to the brain of a psychopath.

As long as we have hierarchies, we will be ruled by villains.

The thing I find fascinating is that normally fascism is a self-destructive attempt to increase a nation’s power whereas here the goal is to weaken and break the power of the US.

As everyone is pointing out, it’s achieving that goal.

I suspect that’s an effect of the under-education of our country. A more functional education system would probably produce fewer proudly ignorant people.
