The Good Place? Classic 80s sitcom The Good Place (TV Series 2016-2020) made references to the 45th President of the United States, Donald John Trump, January 20, 2017 – January 20, 2021? That’s remarkable foresight for a 40 year old tv series.

She’s now at the point where she’s defending her defending of them, so clearly she’s getting pushback. I really don’t mind it though. Most people are normal people with no desire to cause harm. Most people are misinformed about politics. So yes, a bunch of R voters don’t support current events, once you explain to them what’s actually happening. They’ll still vote R next time, of course, because they don’t care enough to inform themselves.

I really like Some More News. They’re kinda like Last Week Tonight in style: in-depth reporting on bigger issues, with some jokes thrown in. They also make two episodes of Even More News a week, but those are more hype-of-the-day with less analysis behind them. Honestly feels like it’s just their brainstorm sessions recorded and released as a podcast.

Any other newspaper should know better. The Washington Times doesn’t want to know better, because “I didn’t know” is a very convenient excuse when you publish Nazi shit every day.

Time to read Neuromancer again. It’s such a perfect cyberpunk novel, it’s weird that it didn’t get a movie adaptation with terrible CGI in the 90s.

The total area of Greenland is 2.1 million km², but where other countries have usable land and maybe some lakes, Greenland has 1.7 million km² of ice. There’s some land under there, but much less than you might think:

The US has 9.1 million km² of actual land, so if we’re counting the ice, a quarter is about right.

So when I download only some files from a torrent, it’s likely that I can’t seed all of those files to the next person? I have done partial leeches before and left them seeding under the impression that I could at least seed exactly those files if anyone else wanted them. If that’s impossible (or at least unlikely to work because of chunking), then I might download the whole thing next time (or just leave the swarm).

It might help your comment if you replaced some theys and thems with the actual people you’re referring to. It’s very unclear whether you’re talking about Hamas, the Israel government, the Palestine people living in the Gaza strip, the Israeli people, etc. There’s a lot of different groups involved in this conflict, all with their own history and motives. It’s important to be clear about who is doing what.
