Standing and delivering a speech for 25 hours straight is a genuinely incredible physical and mental feat.
So is eating 73 hot dogs in 10 minutes. What does it accomplish?
give voices to seniors worried about losing social security, and to draw more attention to the absolutely broken state of our government

Our representatives are the ones who are supposed to be acting. Again, what did this speech accomplish?
Yup. Useless theatrics are all the democratic party is capable of these days.
This technically isn’t a filibuster. He’s not blocking any legislation or appointments. He’s just talking, and we know how far talking gets us.

Booker is grandstanding. Talking. Talking gets us nowhere. Is he DOING anything? No. The entire party is rudderless, weak, and borderline complicit. ACTUALLY complicit in the cases of Schumer and Fetterman and Durbin, to name a few.

Veterans tend to vote republican. I’m guessing the numbers would be about the same for active members. Says a lot about our military doesn’t it? They approve of this.
