Edit: we also feel anger about all this, but have to get shit from everyone because the election couldn’t be swayed. I hope you never have to go through a natural disaster like that and then get treated this way. Stay ignorant!

Explain, what am I missing? You want to talk down to anyone from NC because the voter suppression, voter intimidation, and everything else that handed a tyrant and traitor the win for the state means we deserve to suffer?

Look at our state elections. We’ve got a great governor (former state AG who was outstanding.) How did he win? Look at our new AG. Jeff Jackson is my favorite politician. Never seen one as transparent. I have doubts over the legitimacy of the vote, but I’m not gonna sit here and cry cheater because the other side has done that for so long it’s lost all meaning.

And yes, I assert that your attitude towards us makes you no better than them. It’s real low to insist we deserve this.

Boone is left leaning, so are many other little towns throughout WNC. It’s not all trump voters. Not that that should matter when it comes to who receives federal aid for disasters.

You do realize there are many North Carolinians who didn’t vote for him, suffered badly from the storm, and are still becoming the target of other peoples’ smugness or rage?

Regardless, picking and choosing which people you help or care about based on politics is shitty and makes you no better than the current administration.

No they didn’t, he just got the most votes of any candidate. Some votes that weren’t for Trump weren’t for Harris either. The majority of NC voters did not vote for him. On top of that, look at the demographics of the hardest hit areas. Much of it is left leaning.

We’re going to see the results play out regardless, but it’s pretty low to act like we deserve it.

Hold up, that was one guy who threatened FEMA, and the majority of NC did not vote for Trump. It’s despicable to imply we deserve this.

Look at the jackets. The suspect has a jacket that has a hood made of the same material and appears in this image to be a pullover. Luigi has a hood that is a different material than jacket and appears to be a zip up.
