What exactly is illegal in crossing a border station, that would justify being locked up in a prison near the Mexico border? If your paperwork doesn’t suffice, you should simply not be granted entry. Not be thrown in some jail that makes money off of people being locked up in there. If you can’t feel sorry for her, there’s clearly something wrong with your sense of empathy This is just the Trump administration harassing Canadians for not bending over backwards.

People don’t care about how badly chicken are treated or the amount of feed they require, they just want domething tasty to eat, all for themselves.

Nah, I’d like to turn that around. It is not necessary for you to eat eggs, so it shouldn’t affect you, same as it doesn’t affect me. More inclusive, you know? Together towards a better world.

I’d prefer some salted nuts and kidney beans in my enchilada, quinoa is a bit overrated tbh.

You don’t need eggs, eat something else. Better for chickens, biodiversity and the climate as well

I meant that Europe is moving in the same direction as the US is, with fascism on the rise again. European leaders are now merely reacting to what the US leaders are doing in terms of tariffs, which will increase costs and inflation for both the internal markets.

When you see your country as more important than (people in) other countries in the rest of the world, that’s just short-sighted and unjustified.

The US is not the only democracy that is currently endangered. Europe can easily follow suit, South America in some parts as well, as we’ve seen.

Freedom doesn’t come freely, it has to be fought for, hard, time and time again.

In a democracy, however flawed it may be, politics are still the result of a large part of the population’s will. Which is strongly influenced by propaganda of course, and without much thought of all the consequences that it may have, but still. Protest against these politics can come in many forms, depending on how strongly people are affected by it, never mind how exhausted people think they might be.

Then there’s also the military, does anybody here have any insight how they feel about the recent political changes that have been carried through?

Calling for action. Could also be directed to Europeans btw, with obesity and fascism also growing hand in hand there.

Let’s just hope they are so incompetent that they can’t do as much harm as they would like to. Fingers crossed.

Money is quite pleasurable, isn’t it?

Anyhow, livestock is being killed well before they reach maturity. All for human pleasure.

Tell everyone that you can do very well without eggs, which then stops the breeding, mistreatment and inevitable killing of chicken, without the land use to grow their food, so nature can be restored there, capturing CO2, which then slows down and gradually turns back climate warming, so we can still keep growing plants in a moderate climate for our own consumption. It’s a bit simplified of course, but you get the gist.

What’s the value of a human to a chicken? Perhaps mankind should just take one small step back for once. Would be about time by now.
