There wasn’t a proper primary for Biden. There was no primary for Harris. She just got all the delegates pledged from Biden. And they were destined to make sure that Trump or a similiar candidate would win the 2028 election if he didn’t win already in 2024. And this is a continuation of the Clinton campaign, that almost comically made sure that Trump would be the only one addressing the issues of working class Americans.

I agree, people should have challenged Biden and Harris in the primaries.

They should have voted non aligned and disrupted DNC events until a proper primary was held. The inaction in pushing the Democrats to bringing up a non genocide, non mass deportations, non economically cynical and classist towards the poor candidate was an issue. However that should not distract us from the institution that fought against getting any such candidate and instead pushed Biden until it was unbearable and then switched to Harris.

The inaction of the people was part of the problem. As the largest block was non voters, if these had went for an agreed upon third party instead, they could have made the presidential race even if the DNC kept blocking any progressive candidate.

At least now many people become fully aware of the true colors of the US empire and the evil it does to its citizens and people all over the world. Many people before deemed these acceptable under a Democratic president. Now is the chance to rebuild a proper political and economic system in the US. This is why it is so crucial to not let the Democrats off the hook either. There will be no healing in the US as long as the Republican and Democrat elites remain in power.

Going for the “lesser of two evils” over the past 40 years at least is what brought us to Trumps presidency. In particular Biden and Harris brought us to his second presidency, embracing the support of Dick Cheney, which is a Bush era war criminal Republican foreign invader mass murderer.

Yes i both side this. The Democrats in their current shape are a big part of the problem and they oppose getting towards a solution. Because a solution would be against the US oligarchy and the DNC is equally representing that oligarchies interests. Just the flavor of oligarchs is different between the two parties.

Trump making the capitalist hellhole worse, does not make the capitalist hellhole acceptable. No matter if the presidents name was Trump, Biden, Obama, Bush, Clinton, Bush or Reagan.

An economy that cannot provide access to basic healthcare and education for its citzens is a failed economy, no matter how high the price tags of stocks traded by coked up psychopaths are.

  • Americans were quite sympathetic towards the Nazis before the war. A lot of the pseudo-science race teachings and call for eugenics, which is genocide, were supported in the US. The Nazis got inspired by the flag saluting fascist ritual “pledge of allegiance” that still exists today, but long before. Henry Ford and other “models of the American Dream” could spread their Antisemitic hatred globally, while being recognized, revered or at least tolerated by their US American co-citizens.

The US was on its best way to become a fascist empire in the 20th century already, without any influence from the German Nazis. The German Nazis may have helped slightly, but the responsibility lies with the US Americans. After all the US was founded on a settler colonial white supremacist ethnic cleansing and genocide itself.

I agree with your conclusion. The US will not stop until it is stopped, like any other fascist country will not stop until it is stopped.

  • I strongly recommend you to see the video i have linked. The maker is a former anti-theist who has learned how hateful and discriminatory this kind of thinking was and how prominent proponents of this thinking went on to apply the same attacks on “wokeness” and are now part of the Trump side of US politics.

If you cannot think of religious people as normal people, whose characters and life situations cover the entire spectrum of human life, that is problematic. Referring to people as “victims” because they dont share the same convictions as you do, is marginalizing them and a convienent escape as you don’t have to intellectually engage with their position. In such “Anti-Theists” fall into the same pitfalls they accuse religious people off, by not only declaring their own convictions as the ultimate truth, but marginalizing everyone who does not share the same convictions.

And that is where “Anti-Theism” leads to “Anti-Wokeness” for many prominent proponents of it. Please watch the video, as it explains that much better and in detail.

  • I’ve met a scholar who joked that these days you are called a Hafiz, if you memorize the entire Quran. During history many scholars referred to as Hafiz also memorized a hundred thousand Hadith (reports about the life of the Prophet Mohamed sas) or more.

It is really crazy how strong many peoples convictions about Islam are, with how little they usually now about Islam outside of the hate filled propaganda they have been fed for the past decades in many western countries.

The problem is not that it spreads. It is that it then suffocates other plants that can’t handle staying near it.

Of course having the ecological wasteland of lawns isn’t good either. You want to create the conditions for a balance habitat to establish. Mint can be an obstacle to this and be detrimental to the biodiversity in your garden, if left unchecked.

  • inadvertent mistake.

Lets give the benefit of the doubt and say it was a mistake. Is that a matter and a position, where such a mistake is tolerable? Or is it something that disqualifies for any position in that domain and demands immediate resignation?

Because if you seriously make a mistake, and you realize the gravity of it, you take responsibility for it. If you instead remain in position, you either don’t recognize the gravity of it, which is an even bigger reason to resign, or you indeed acted with intent.

But in this case it did not start with inviting Goldberg. It started with making a chat group on an unauthorized app, likely using unauthorized devices to discuss matters that are explicitly forbidden to be taken out of specific permitted official channels.

  • US colleges are businesses first and foremost. They are focused around making money. Education seemed to be a profitable way of doing so. But enforcing state and Zionist donor propaganda and societal influence instead is also an option if it is paid better. And as it currently stands for Columbia university it is the option that pays better.
