Remember, there are 2 reasons why someone might say something. Either it’s the truth, which makes no sense as you pointed out, or it’s a convenient lie, which makes perfect sense for someone who benefits from maintaining the status quo while pretending to fight against it. It’s well past the time to assume people are telling the truth until proven otherwise. It’s time to just straight-up call a politician’s lie a lie from the smell alone.
Remember, Trump doesn’t say things that are true - or even things he thinks are true - he only says things that he thinks will benefit him to say. So yes, it benefits him to say Jan 6 wasn’t domestic terrorism, and that vandalism of his boss’ cars is domestic terrorism.

Long gone are the days where something being against the law essentially meant it couldn’t be done. You can scream that the things they’re doing are illegal, but at this point it doesn’t even matter; the law has lost its relevancy, and won’t stop or even slow down the people in charge.
We elected a CEO to be president, essentially adding the country itself to his business portfolio. He’s obviously going to trade a part of that power to other CEOs in exchange for favors and loyalty to benefit himself. It’s nothing more than a business deal to exploit the country and its people for profits, something all wealthy business owners are familiar with, and something Trump didn’t even try to hide his plans to do if he was elected.
There’s a reason every American was raised on the mantra of “violence is never the answer” and “if you fight back you’re just as bad.”

I don’t honestly think that would work. They’ve been conditioned to take comfort in not knowing things. I’ve seen the thought process unfold in front of me hundreds of times: “If a republican did it, it was a good thing and part of the plan, even if I don’t understand how yet.” It’s exactly the same thought process that they employ for their religion: “God is good and does good things, even though terrible things happen to people all the time that God must have allowed if he exists, there’s always a plan, even if we don’t know it.”
