I did. Like… What the fuck has America done for the world in the past 50 years it didn’t immediately obliterate the karma of 10 seconds later by deepthroating lobbyists or invading a country?
And its not like the people are any better. The entire country is filled with people who take claim for the good things of others while rejecting people doing actions they disagree with. Like 2% of the country actually does shit and everyone else coasts on that. When confronted about why, they will blame every single thing under the fucking sun except themselves. It can’t possibly be because barely half of Americans voted and STAGGERINGLY fewer ever engaged in the process outside of casting a single ballot every 4 years. No. It has to be because of propaganda (that every country has) or work issues (which every country has) or some other egotistical garbage that is so insanely self centered that the person seems to forget that America isn’t unique.
America has never had to accept responsibility for anything that it has ever done on the world stage and that mentality bled over to its people.
So yeah. I saw a felon taking over the white house coming from miles away because that is, at the core, what every American wants. To have everything handed to them with no effort while escaping all consequences. They were fucking deluded to think otherwise.
My respect for Americans has never been high but it’s nearing the basement at seeing the fucking pity party Americans are throwing for themselves over shit they made happen. I’ve got very little sympathy to be had for people upset at the current situation when their enormous contribution to checks notes STOPPING NAZIS was to cast a ballot once every four years.
It’s painfully stereotypical. Not to mention the hyper common trope of brilliant savant who is autistic and thereby socially crippled. It also just feels really gross

If I suddenly stop posting forever in the summer it’s because I saw someone wearing a Trump hat here in Newfoundland and proceeded to do some things to him that are very much illegal.
Note to any Americans coming to Canada though for any reason. Ditch the flags and hats and shit. We got tired of it a long time ago but I’ve outright seen people refuse to serve Americans so far who display any sort of patriotism and I kinda back them on it.

In sitcoms, everything is the punchline. That’s sort of the point of them. They take things to extremes for the sake of humor. I find shit like Good Doctor to be way more fucking insulting than an exaggeration of me and my friends. I can 100% be Sheldon at times, especially when it comes to Star Trek.
Autism and nerdculture isn’t the punchline. Everyone who worked on the show was nerdy as hell. It’s the set up. The punchline is stereotype.

I completely agree! However, it is entirely irrelevant because the original claim wasn’t that they thought someone was stupid. They said they actively thought less of them and then mocked them for having the permanent mindset of a child. Your point doesn’t cover that level of immature hostility.
You cannot claim to be a friend of someone while openly believing they are less than you and mocking their entire mental state and world view. The behavior is contradictory to what a friend actually does. You are not a friend in that case, you’re just a shitty person who is pretending to be someones friends while (no matter what you say) treating them less than you would treat someone like yourself.
It’s funny because when I know that someone judges someone else over personally held beliefs so intensely that they think less of them, I tend to think less of that first person. We all live lives differently. If they’re not impacting yours, who cares? If they believe in something you don’t, who cares?
You talk about being stuck with the mindset of a 5 year old for believing in something in their own lives. But real adults just live their lives and don’t run around judging by their own personal metrics. Real adults also certainly don’t care when someone runs around saying “YOU’RE A CHILD”.
And yeah, I’m not sorry for that one.
We have read what you had to say. The problem is that you’re making sweeping generalizations based off of personal experience and leaning heavily into some confirmation bias to try and prove your point. Even in saying that it is just Texas, you’re basing it off of faulty logic. You are judging the actions of a group at large by the experiences that you have had with a minority. That is, unless you want to claim that you’ve met the majority of Christians in Texas and they were all actively showing unprovoked homophobia, which isn’t a claim you can reasonably make.
Yeah exactly. There are shitty people on all sides. Some shitty people are gonna capitalize on what they can. That doesn’t devalue the ton of good people who are just trying to live their lives as good people. It’s unfair to judge them by the actions of others within that group. It is just outright discrimination and just… is shitty. I’m not about to sit here as a gay man and scream about being unfairly judged while doing the same thing to another entire group. I’ll pass.
