Yeah… we really need to quit making proprietary formats into industry standards.
I suspect that’s social content fracture at work. If you have the right hobbies, access to the right tools, and move in the right circles, you pick up on this stuff. If you don’t, well… 🤷♀️
Honestly? Why do we let people who have no clue what’s actually going on decide the generations?
Oregon Trail generation sounds great.
I’m in the Minecraft generation.
Don’t know what the next generation would want to be called, but they’re the iPad kids for sure.
It’ll depend on their hobbies. PC gamers will know this stuff, or at least how to figure it out.
The statement is that it isn’t a statement. An understatement, if you will.
It’s a big part of looking classy. Why wear a diamond studded gold watch when you can wear a normal looking watch that those in the know will recognize as expensive?
Same principle. You don’t necessarily notice the bag immediately, so when you do notice it you get to appreciate the outfit a second time. There’s layers, which makes it sophisticated. Classy.
Judging by Trump, I bet your reputation matters a whole lot less than you think it does.
The bill was written by a chemist.
That isn’t reassuring.
Sorry I never responded to this, but thank you for posting the link. That’s absolutely dystopian… and exactly on brand for this administration, I’m afraid.
It has happened before, so it isn’t impossible. But it would be so difficult that impossible is pretty much the only word that comes close.
Or maybe we get rid of the “wages = living” bit.
We could all negotiate for the full value of our labor a lot better if we didn’t have a noose around our neck forcing us to work.
So we must form our own.
Probably, but he gets points for taking the right actions (regardless of whatever his motives may have been).
Wait, what?
Dems are controlled opposition and everyone knows it.
I still vote for them, at least until a better alternative comes along. But we have to build better systems because the establishment will not save us.
This is the biggest problem, yeah.
Sad truth is that the USA just isn’t ready for a woman president. Too many misogynists (women included).
Now we’re upping the funding for said genocide and actively cheering it on.
Palestine is at the top (or near the top, anyways) of my list and…
I voted for Harris. Ignoring a genocide is bad, yes, but cheering it on is worse. I don’t think anyone in Gaza was cheering when they heard the news Trump was elected.
I think people don’t understand that (under the fptp voting system) voting isn’t some kind of stamp of approval. You can still criticize someone you vote for. Voting is harm reduction, plain and simple.
There is always the “people’s impeachment.” I hear it has been popular in France.
The shitty part is that they win either way. Either they get an excuse to escalate or they get to kill a potential movement in its crib. The people aren’t exactly holding any trump cards here.
