I remember when department stores ruled, and had actual pull. The “right” store could anchor your plaza/mall and they could demand aot. One of the oldest, but fun ones, was Service Merchandise. Even within the store you found what you wanted and filled out a ticket and brought it to a counter, your item would then come out of the warehouse on a conveyor belt which as a kid was like magic lol. Also going to a Kmart or similar store and putting that “must have” item on layaway was also cool.

This place was the cats pajamas!

I think their racist plan is to drive everyone non-white and without citizenship out, then move on to getting everyone non-white out. Then complain “nobody wants to work” when the economy crashes and people are in bread lines like we just had a nationwide natural disaster.

I’m sure that is their plan, but legally that shouldn’t even be entertained, however we have a Supreme Court that allowed Trump on the ballot even though he was legally disqualified due to his insurrection.

This will almost certainly start in multiple states and go to the Supreme Court like it did with the ballots, where it’s anyone’s guess what way they go.

Not a lawyer, but the law is written so that if you wouldn’t legally be able to serve as President you cannot be VP either, meaning legally this plan has no legs.

Pull their funding and you also should lose all their votes, although in this upside down I could see some states just going along with it.

Funny how the guy that was found guilty of inflating the prices of his properties to cheat banks and taxes, and campaign finance laws to allow election interference, has such a soft spot for other crookes even though it was a “witch hunt”.

And almost certainly knowing that if someone saw her miscarriage she would be arrested and thus tried to hide the fetus in a dumpster instead of seeking medical attention. Now they arrested her because of a nark and she has to deal with the mental load/trauma of not only a miscarriage, but possible jail time and defending herself while her private life is publicized.

I think Greenland would be in the same category as Ukraine where Trump/Putin/MAGA just want to strip the territory of all natural resources and then sell the land to the highest bidder.

And a law firm depending on federal contracts doesn’t make much when the President singles you out and threatens to end you. I mean sure, you could try and fight it in court, but if he rigs the judiciary against you your outcome isn’t promising.

So I assume all the special ed money in Red states will now just go into a slush fund to accelerate executions, and an amplification of attacks on marginalized groups instead of helping kids/families.

They were super happy to see marginalized kids get abused and bullied, but when they realize this will affect their “angel” I think we might see Trump try and backtrack on this.

It was literally in the playbook and talked about constantly, because it’s about boosting private schools under the guise of parent choice/states rights. Will allow the Right to funnel tons of money into indoctrinating kids and white washing history (more than it already is in the US).

The fact that a convicted felon, that would have surely been found guilty in his other cases had he not run out the clock, got to pick the head of the DOJ is mind-boggling. It’s putting the guy in a ski mask with a gun in charge of picking the bank security.

So is he voiding all work visas now? Or just for people of color? Or based on nationality? Or is he planning to void all visas because “something something American first [racist run-on]”?

Also gotta love the irony of the guy being married to a woman who worked here illegally while waiting on her work visa, now deporting people who followed the law.
