You’re not wrong. The parents chose not to vaccinate, and vaccines almost certainly would have prevented this outcome. Where I’m struggling is the “serves them right” attitude when it wasn’t the parents who paid for their mistake- it was a small child with no say in the matter. It’s possible to feel anger towards the parents (though it doesn’t change anything at this point) and still have empathy for the actual victim.
Sorry, what do you mean their choice? I hope by them you mean the parents, because the poor girl had no chance.
Patriotism doesn’t have to mean the same as nationalism. In fact, it’s disappointing when they’re conflated.
Don’t you know? Kids these days only know something twerk something eat hot chips something be bisexual etc…
Robin Hood only took money from the rich. Luigi took life (allegedly), and scared the other rich folks enough to allow some life (healthcare) for the plebs for some short time.
It’s poverty and brainwashing. Boyboy did an incredible breakdown on how the us military was the biggest YouTube sponsor a few years back.
I think it’s Jaguar. They’re doing a bonkers rebranding right now where you can’t tell what the ads are trying to sell.
Right? His sharpie hurricane map begs to differ.
Last Podcast on the Left. They’re a comedy podcast and cover “horrors real and imagined”- true crime, some morbid history, and paranormal stuff. One of the hosts has struggles with bipolar disorder, and “not your fault, but it is your responsibility” comes up often when they speak about people who have done horrific things and blame their mental illnesses.
If you’re interested at all, they did a recent series on the tragedy of the Batavia which speaks to the horrors of untethered capitalism that I think might be up your alley.
Edit: forgot to mention, Hail Yourself used to be how they would sign off the podcast until one of the hosts left last year.
Apologies, I thought you were referencing a commonly said phrase on a podcast I listen to. The line is “it’s not your fault, but it is your responsibility” in regards to mental illness. I wasn’t being facetious.
Or a communist, if anyone wants to spread the rumor!
Chappell Roan’s side hustle
And missing extremities? Are we against employing disabled veterans? I thought we loved the military?
She did sign that executive order designating everyone as female, too.
People have a stronger reaction to negative emotions, hence articles that promote fear or anger do better than ones that provide information only, or make people feel good. It’s called the negativity bias, if you wanted more information, though it’s not specific to news cycles.
Thank you. I’m always so fascinated by different superstitions.
