Dumb Trump supporters want mindless factory jobs to return because they think it will bring back higher wages. Those high wages came from unions, not factories being uniquely high paying. Unions are the reason workers once had a fair standard of living and people need to remember their collective power.

Because people smart enough to understand those words explicitly likely already know what’s happening. He is messaging to everyone and clearly a lot of Americans aren’t that smart. This is an issue in this country. Democrats often preach in ways that lose the uneducated. Trump talks in a 5th grade reading level and it connects with them. I think speaking the way Sanders does is more accessible.
Even if he brings back a good degree of manufacturing with these moves, manufacturing has become so heavily automated that it will not be a significant enough source of jobs. All analysis shows this will contract the economy greatly with little upside.

Without Federal standards many regions, programs, and equity standards will decline. They want public school outcomes to fail so badly that the institution loses public support. This is the long game towards the abolition of the public school system. They want a tiered paywall on education.
