Republicans don’t say things like this without permission from the Party. He gets to say this to protect his seat. He’ll likely still vote in lock-step with Republicans unless they get a bigger majority.

And that benefits who and how?

I’m afraid there are American oligarchs who do want it. They could end up owning everything. They don’t care how much people suffer if it consolidates wealth and power for a few.

That’s many Americans in a nutshell.

It’s why they’re racist and anti-LGBTQ, too. They think if those groups gain any power they’ll use it the way bigots would. The way bigots do.

Independent creameries are still a thing in a lot of places. Also, look for local dairy farms, they will often have a creamery that sells ice cream and often cheese and other products.

I doubt it. There’s whole ecosystems and food chains to consider. It’s one thing for a plant native to Mexico to move north to southern USA—the whole ecosystem can move with it. But, a tree from China spreading through the UK could still wreak havoc.

“Invasive” rarely means something from slightly warmer region nearby. It means something that is introduced and has no natural constraints—predators, competitors, diseases, etc.

Some are invasive and should be eradicated when they overwhelm local species.
