Right? The language used in a lot of those comments reads like a tankie who failed to read the instance they were signing up for.

I have thought about it. I’d be the Bernie Sanders of my area, unable to sit quietly and watch the world burn without speaking truth to power and making a stink for the right people. Just don’t have the drive to do that right now. Politics just seems like the worst thing to do with whatever life I have left.

Yeah, this time around there will be no government assisted breadlines cause this government is ineffectual at best and outright malicious at worst.

Well it clearly wasn’t obvious to everyone, haha!

My area had local elections yesterday and in all seats where a Democrat ran, they won by at least a couple thousand votes (15+ points). If a Republican candidate ran unopposed, they were under by just about the same number of votes. People here (in Central IL) would rather not vote for anyone than vote for a Republican and I love to see it. Let’s hope the momentum and anger against Republicans continues into 2026 and 2028.

Who knows how shit will fare farther out than a few months from today, but it would be hard to claim election fraud in those elections if there were massive Democrat wins in almost every election, especially those areas that previously went hard for tRump.

Garland didn’t want to seem like his actions were political retribution, like they claimed it was anyway. He didn’t want the perception they already concluded anyway!

My passive SI won’t let me run for any office, but it also allows me to donate to a lot of candidates cause saving money seems pointless. God speed to the younger, more hopeful generations in their attempt to right this ship. As an old millennial, I don’t have any fight left in me, but I have money and a decent income.

Yeah, in this day and age that will almost likely not take place. I work in IT and sometimes it feels like the stuff now is stuff that needs done now, and all attempts to safeguard against drastic fixes later is a little extra time now. However, I’ve had many times I had to put out fires I noted would happen down the road.

Never wanted to have a gun in the house until this month. Now it’s all I think about for the next large purchase I need to make. I’m not looking forward to the shopping experience.
