Great band, was my favorite as a teenager in early 2000s.

It was a dream come true when they reunited “recently”. I held tickets 3 times in my hands, but the show was cancelled everytime (covid, Zack’s injury), and now it seems like they are disbanded again, so it’s never going to happen.

Still, I saw Morello last year, he played some of these RATM riffs, so at least I have that off the bucket list.

A good way to think about it, how would society percieve them if they were hoarding anything else at this scale?

Imagine the guy having warehouses all over the world filled with toilet paper, private security around the compound, and campaign ads to reduce real estate taxes for storage units.

Or somebody having the largest lego collection in the world, constant buying out and threatening other collectors.

It’s a mental illness.

Restaurant 100 yrs ago: “let’s throw something cheap together quickly, so the guests can eat”

Restaurant now: “here’s your salad that somehow costs more than a burger”

It’s always greed, but corporations need an excuse, so you don’t get angry at them. Covid was the perfect example for that, when they see the opportunity, they will jack up the prices.
