It’s so funny when they think Biden has a cult of rabid supporters.

And who would I be buying it from?
Is that how you think this works? Nobody gets to choose where they’re born, and people tend to stay close to their families or other support systems, and their jobs. They might have partners or kids who are similarly invested in the area. Not so easy.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not disagreeing with your general point that right-wing terrorism is ignored by the media. Just wanted to clarify that you said “every one of them had a manifesto” but the Vegas shooter did not. That said, a lot of the details of his life are things I associate with right-wingers: worked for Lockheed, owned rental properties, 2nd amendment, lots of cruises. Like you said, I would describe his motive as “disdain for other people/society” but for some reason that’s not considered terrorism.
FWIW, the Vegas shooter did not have a manifesto and I don’t remember seeing any evidence that he was a white nationalist.
You’re getting downvoted and I’m soon to follow, but everything you said is reasonable and it’s almost never wrong to ask for evidence. I continue to be surprised at how tightly this community clings to the narrative that non-voters alone decided the election.
My oldest sister got [what she believes to be] COVID in Feb 2020. She’s been on disability since then, and while she’s not cognitively impaired, she can’t walk around for more than 60 seconds before having to lay down again.
I’m really proud of everyone for not making the tired “835 kilograms! What would someone do with 750 kilograms?” joke. It’s just the worst.
What you’re saying is true in fact, but I feel like you’re letting the price gougers off the hook a little. Eggs are popular because they’re versatile, nutritionally dense and traditionally cheap. Eggs are almost the best breakfast kids can have before school because they help with focus and keep them full. There really isn’t a replacement at the same price point. I don’t think we should expect them to be so cheap that we rely on animal cruelty, but they shouldn’t be a luxury item either.
EDIT: to clarify, it’s the protein and fat that help with focus and fullness, not eggs specifically.
That’s cool. It didn’t occur to me that anyone was preparing to fight back physically.
This one really hurts to think about. What an evil act. She deserves to be alive, the officer(s?) deserve to be in prison forever, and whatever payout the family receives should come from the department’s pension fund.
Maybe the distributor wanting an extra excuse to charge more for a little while?
What’s insane? That she was wrongfully convicted, or that anyone is questioning her guilt? If the latter, we should never stop scrutinizing the government when they’re able to lock people up for life. To be clear, I’m not making a judgment about Letby.
In Davis Graeber’s Bullshit Jobs he describes a sort of cultural belief that these jobs should be low-paying, because that’s how we know people are in it “for the right reasons” and not “just for the money.”
At the very least they should lose every penny they have, and every penny they earn henceforth should go directly to the fund. Or am I just describing incarceration?
Either he’s never heard of John Chau or he’s trying to become the next John Chau.
