I think you missed their point. Contemporary US style libertarianism has taken over the term, historically it meant something very different. They are arguing that people should start using the word again to mean things other than US style libertarianism. They are very obviously not confused about what libertarianism actually is given their knowledge of the history of the term; ironically it seems like you are unaware of this history and are doing something akin to what you accuse OP of doing.

I do agree though that people are generally very ignorant about this sort of stuff and often latch onto words to describe their politics without any genuine understanding of what those words actually mean.

There was also recently a Cybertruck that crashed and burst into flames and the doors wouldn’t open so the teenagers inside were burned to death in what could have otherwise been a survivable crash.

The weird thing is he did get an essay that explained everything published by the NYT after the fact once it blew up in his face. He could have just shared all of that ahead of time instead of blindsiding everyone with his surprise change of heart and at least minimized the anger. You would think an experienced politician like him would know better but for some reason he did it in just about the worst possible way he could have done it.

As an American, this is exactly correct. The last time I tried to take Amtrak the train literally did not show up and they told us they had no way to contact it and didn’t know where it was. After waiting many hours with no change in status I finally gave up. The last time I actually rode Amtrak it was multiple hours late and cost about the same as a plane ticket.

Your premise is faulty. The dead child had their personal decision made for them. Its one thing to deny yourself medical care, its another thing entirely to deny a child medical care.

It’s meant to apply pressure. Failing to provide a strong response would mean that Trump is weak. He is both stroking Trumps ego and subtly poking it at the same time.
