Pretty lame joke tbh. Way too contrived.

Stop bringing logic to these rage baiters. The vibe gets weird.
It’s incredibly common. Especially when trying to shame people for getting the terminology wrong.
Commonly framed as a meme showing how stupid you are for thinking this “incredibly feminine looking transwoman is a man”.
You just kinda skipped the part about being famous too, as if it doesn’t affect perception. You can’t retroactively change the fact that Bruce won gold in mens sport.
That goes against the common argument about calling people what they look like though. There are a lot of contradictions to wade through.
I’d also argue that it’s completely different if they were famous, which Bruce was.
I’d argue that it’s weird to call a Bruce, “her”. After she transitioned, thats a different story.
There is definitely a grace period depending on how long you knew the old name, compared to the new one.
Bruce jenner was a name i knew for waaaay longer than Caitlyn. Mainly cause he won the Olympic gold.
Acting like they have the billions as liquid cash is weird.
IF, and its a big if, they would start selling their assets in order to liquidate their stocks, the assets would nosedive in value to fucking hell. Most of their wealth is smoke and mirrors. Most of them spend money by borrowing cash against their assets.
Tax them so they have to lend or sell some assets to pay their fair share.
“Heaven can wait”, but ditched the religious connotation.
I like it. I’m getting pretty sick of the attitude of most lemmyposts, which alligns with the darker coffee. Depressive nihilism is not hot.
No! Death can fucking wait. I’m not done here yet.
She could have called the Union. Oh wait…
As if twitter wasn’t a net negative for society to begin with.
At least Facebook was decently capable at helping you keep connected with friends and events at the beginning. Twitter was always gargled garbage to begin with.
Nothing of value will be exchanged over 140 characters without being bastardized in some way, or context withheld.
You are complicit, by your own logic.
Was thinking the same thing. It sounds exactly like inclusion due to irrelevant factors.
I might be coming off a bit too ideological, but i dont think race, gender, sexuality should matter in a profession. Therefore i think DEI is inherently unfair.
But i also see how the tactic applies to anybody that sucks at their job, DEI not included.
I think most people would be satisfied with trans, and particularly trans-women that went through male puberty, were incarcarated away from women.
But logically, there are only two ways to make it “fair”.
Either make separate jails for trans, or put everyone in the same jail. The second one would be incredibly detrimental for women and trans, as male prisoners would be in the same prison. I dont think i need to elaborate.
Well, yes? That would make sense.
Or a prison for everyone.
Then it’s a you problem, not the centrists.
Not really.
If you wanna compare, the Trump version would be the alcoholic father purposely running into people on the way to the liquor store. While blaming it on somebody else.
Absolutely agree. None of the many parties in my country have a program that resonates completely with me. That means that i have to think about which issue is the most important for my community or my family when I vote.
So keep it in the political communities.
