I mean morally consistent like being pro life but also pro death penalty and pro war but then again vote down any VA funding. Family values and rapingb kids, etc…
Those are consistent you just aren’t thinking like them.
Pro-life isn’t about the baby, it’s about protecting the patriarchy by enforcing man’s will upon women. The same goes for raping kids.
And its the same reason they are scared shitless of transfolk and drag queens basically tossing traditional gender-roles in the trash, and in doing so, loudly protesting the very concept of the patriarchy.
I don’t think they see anything wrong with not finding VA or any veterans benefits. In their eyes, veterans signed up knowing the risks, collected their salary and benefits as-agreed at enlistment, and that’s that.
The governments responsibility to the soldier ends with their term of service. Any lasting effects is on the vet to deal with. Very…caveat emptor. Which is also consistent.
Thats at least better than how they treat kids. You’d think that if the government mandates the kids get educated and provides an education, during those hours the kids are in the exclusive care of the state…the kids should be getting fed and not shot at.
But instead, their solution to these problems is that kids shouldn’t have to be educated, apparently.
But see it’s not consistent because the moment they’re that soldier, elderly on fixed income, sick, etc, the system and everyone in it are supposed to drop everything and help them. “Get your government hands off my Medicare”, as it was.
They’re the same shit eating morons that voted for Trump’s tariffs because Biden made things to expensive .
this really seems to be a sport for certain people. In my country its similar the populists communicate like they are in a football stadium, throwing up scarfs of their color and stuff :D The incompetence painful
Actually, they are quite consistent; it’s just that one, they never say outright what it is, instead always talking around their ideas; because, two, we find it absolutely reprehensible (and they know it).
But it is quite simple:
Conservatism consists of exactly one proposition, to wit: There must be in-groups whom the law protects but does not bind, alongside out-groups whom the law binds but does not protect.
-Wilhoit’s Law
Look at it through that lens, and you’ll see that they have never shifted their position. Their whole lives revolve around making this law a reality, and making sure they are in the in-group.
They have these values tied to their identity, their ego. It’s hard to change that. Hard to admit you were wrong if being wrong means having to become someone else.
They have values they’re just not logically or morally consistent with reality.
Their values are ridiculously consistent, they’re just shit:

It really is just as simple as that.
neither consistent with themselves

This is also a problem on the left though.
