A phone not getting hardware updates is going to be trivially targeted by physical attacks, such as celebrite.

If your phone isn’t getting updates from graphene OS, it probably won’t get updates from calyx os either (or soon won’t).

If you just want to keep the hardware working, for nonsensitive things, lineage OS is a great option. But it won’t be very secure

You can have different default apps in your work profile and main profile

Stream whichever is best for your application to your desktop/laptop, etc

If your having unsatisfying location, go through this guide to turn on Google everything for location.

You will need to grant “Allow all the time” Location access to Google Play services along with the Nearby Devices permission for it to have all the access it needs. You need to use the “Google Location Accuracy” link from the sandboxed Google Play configuration menu to access the Google Play services menu for opting into their network location service, otherwise this is all pointless

Many privacy focused services accept payments in crypto, such as vpns, web hosting, email services, etc

Not being able to discuss this axis of digital exposure is antithetical to a healthy discourse about privacy.

It’s more elbow grease, but its not too much

GrapheneOS is a similar philosophy as divest, remove as much risk surface as possible. Only pixel phones getting security firmware updates are supported though
